Who isĀ  Rupert Brooke?

Rupert Brooke is an English poet known for his idealistic war sonnets written during the first world war.Brooke was born at 5 Hillmorton Road and named after his grandfather on his mothers side,Rupert Chawner [1750-1836], a distinguished doctor descended from the regicide Thomas Chaloner.

Career and life

Rupert Brooke was famous for his poems and enlisting for WWI.Brooke made friends among the Bloomsbury group of writers,some of whom admired his talent while others were more impressed with his looks.He also belonged to another literary group known as the Georgian Poets and was one of the most talented poets in both of his groups.

What happened to him?

Brooke died by a mosquito bite and he got sepsis and died.
