Rupert Brooke is a famous English poet , he started writing during the First World War.He was born in Rugby,Warwickshire on the 3rd of August 1887 and died on the 23rd of April 1915.Brooke was born at 5 Hillmorton Road, Rugby, Warwickshire, and named from his great-grandfather on his mother’s side. He was the third of four children of William Parker.He was educated in Rugby School,King’s College,Cambridge.As he is a poet one of his most famous poets is the Soldier.The Soldier, by Rupert Brooke, was published in 1915 . That poem reflects British sorrow over and pride in the young men who died in World War I.
