Rupert Brooke was born in 1887 in August and is known for writing poems in world war 1 for example ‘The Soldier’. Rupert was born in Rugby, Warwickshire. Brooke fought in Belgium during the early part of World War 1, after returning to England he wrote 5 poems about war and became a famous poet. Rupert Brooke’s mot famous poem is ‘The Soldier’ It includes well known lines about a corner of a foreign field forever forever being a little piece of England. Rupert Brooke died from blood poisoning which came from a bug bite.
